How do I restrict a survey to only classmates who have signed in?
I do not want non-classmates to participate.
When I go to my home page, anyone can do the survey!

You are mistaken when you say "anyone can do the survey."
Anyone can see the survey, but you must be logged in to complete the survey and submit the results.

Log out of your class site. Then go to the survey page. Near the first question, you will see these words:

"You must be a member to submit this survey. If you are a member please log in first. You can't submit this form until you've logged in."

You will not see these words if you are logged in.

As an example, I have attached our latest survey as it looks when I am logged out.

If you don't want anyone but logged in classmates to even see your survey - let alone take it, simply go to edit site pages, and view the link for that page to restrict it to classmates only.
