what has happened to my home page

Last night, my home page looked normal. This morning, there is a huge empty space there that makes the page look practically empty unless you scroll way down. What has happened and can you fix it?

it is fixed. Sometimes the 3rd-party "This Day in History" comes to us and is 1 or 2 pixels too wide. I changed some of your images to be 415 instead of 419 and it fixed the problem.
