User Forum for Classmate Hurrican Sandy Updates?

Our site wants to have a page for classmates to give updates on their Hurricane Sandy status that will also allow other classmates to respond or comment. Would the User Forum be the best way to do that? Thanks!

Absolutely! You can create as many threads as needed, or allow classmates to create their own. This is exactly what forums are for.
