Do guests receive class e-mails? I couldn't find a box in the guest profiles to make sure they were getting our mass e-mails.

Yes, Guests receive class wide emails. Unless you deselect a Guest's name before sending out the email that is. Note, all site members receive emails by default. If somebody has opted out of receiving emails from your site though, in the Classmate's Details edit screen you'll see a "Receive Site Emails?" field. It will be marked no. This entire field will ONLY display if the Classmate has opted out. If a Classmate is receiving site emails you will not see this field at all.

Ah haaa. So let's reverse that. Let's say someone IS receiving class e-mails and then decides to opt out on the mass e-mails, how can they de-select receiving class e-mails if the field is no longer visible?

That field is never visible to Classmates whether they are, or aren't, receiving site wide emails. That's an admin only field where you personally can control whether a Classmate gets emails. That field only appears to you if the Classmate has opted out, and it's your way of putting the Classmate back on your mailing list in case the Classmate has opted out inadvertently (which does happen sometimes). Anyway, in answer to your question, on the bottom of every single email received by your Classmates there is a link to opt out. It's actually a requirement now, and keeps our system from getting graylisted or blacklisted by the mailerver powers that be out there.
