How soon will my site show the site as being secure.
I purchased a 1 year secure site on 2/22.
It's 5:45pm EST 2/24, and the site is still show as not being secure.

The expiration date of my 1 year subscription is 2/22/2022. I would think the date should be the actual date in which the site becomes secure.

Ronald, I just looked at your homepage. It says classcreator.com/Richmond-Virginia-Hermitage-1965/class_index.cfm?&restricted=page. Do you see the lock symbol in front of your address? That means the page is secure. Your site does not have a domain name, so my understanding is it's always been secure. Am I missing something? I'm on Google Chrome on a desktop PC.

hermitage65.com is redirecting to the LONG CC classname. Did you ask CC to do that to get https? That is an option noted by Jessica, but not really revealed anywhere else.

So your LONG name is secure as are ALL LONG names for Free.

Not sure if this is the site you are referencing here.

Irma,

We purchased a two year certificate on 2/18/21 and our site became secure on 2/20/21 or 2/21/21. On our Manage Domain page it says the Secure Certificate Subscription expires on 2/18/23. The subscription will be in continuous effect until we cancel it, which we'll never do, so the only penalty to the expiration date is 2-3 days at the beginning. I'm not going to stress over that. Hopefully, your site will show secure soon.
