Adding audio file to page

A few years ago I was able to add a song to one of my pages. It played for a couple of years. Was recently asked about it and noticed although the link is shows on page when I click on it nothing happens. It's gone. How do I get the song back. On searching this subject here on forum I found one entry from last year that said system does not support IPAD or IMAC. Is the an alternative that will allow me to get this song back up?
