Any 'lawyer types' out there?
One of my admin's posted a news release, announcing the death of a classmates husband's passing.
Any thoughts?

While it may not be much different than posting an obituary from a newspaper [which as I understand it, the entire newspaper MAY be copyrighted] this is at the bottom of the release:

Overall not a problem for a site like ours. On a practical level, they won't bother if somehow someone got ants in their pants. Lots and lots of material is very similar. FB would self-destruct in about .0001 seconds from similar "copyrighted" material, especially pictures.

Just about ALL stuff that is published as original work is copyrighted implicitly. It doesn't have to have that sentence. For example, ALL software I write is automatically copyrighted but I put that mark on there just as a reminder Cool
