The default order is newest at the bottom and you have to make a selection every time you first view the page if you want the newest at the top.
Can the default order of the posts in What's New be changed so you don't have to make the selection each time?

You are 100% correct. My eyes didn't see what my fingers were typing.
However, my request is already solved. The last two times I logged in the order was what I selected the previous time. I swear, previously every time I logged in the newest was at the bottom even though I had changed it in an earlier session.
