I have a request from a classmate to keep her profile, but not receive emails. Is this possible? Yes, if you are talking about a blast email to the entire class. Just uncheck the classmate's name. I think the answer is no if you are just talking about one classmate emailing another. Unless of course the classmate sets up a dummy non-existent email address. Of course then the classmate would not be able to receive emails at all. This should be not recommended but I did this in two cases where the classmate wanted to be listed on the site but did not even have an email address.

![]() Joining the site but then blocking your Classmates ability to communicate with you kind of defeats the purpose of the site, but there's probably some reason for this that I couldn't guess. You can always make the person a non displaying guest member. That way nobody can email that particular member, but the member can still browse around the entire site and participate in forums, fill out surveys, etc.

This also came up on my site a few months ago. After our reunion, I had two classmates who no longer wanted to receive emails from other classmates. I honored their requests and deleted them from the site but it made me sad to see them back among the "missing."
