In Memory - what happens to comments after someone passes away?

After moving a classmate's name to In Memory, the classmate's Profile, photos and comments while alive, disappeared. Checking if this is the norm.

Entering a classmate In Memory takes place on a page called Edit In Memory Details. An option close to the top of the page "Link To Profile: Append link to bottom of In Memory entry back to Classmate's last Profile." has a checkbox associated with it. If not checked I'd expect what you've experienced.

image.png Thank you. As Admin, I was able to locate deceased classmate's Profile. How can I append link to Profile for classmates to continue to be see this classmate's ? I've attached a screenshot - cannot locate checkbox "Link to Profile".
