Here is how to do it.

Edit Site Pages, Edit Page for IN MEMORY
scroll down to "Richard W''s name, choose EDIT
search for "Deceased [ ] Year of death (if known) "
enter 1992 in the field
uncheck the "Notify 163 Classmates of this update"
save the changes.
