Different Home Page for User Not Logged In

Is it possible for some text on the Home Page to appear only for a user who has not logged in. We have some explanatory text at the start of our home page about how to register. But a logged in user doesn't need to see this.

You can accomplish this with announcements.

To expand on what Fred said... We set our announcements to display at the top of the home page so they will be the first thing people see. There's a permanent announcement which displays for 'non-logged in' visitors and says:

We use the fly out menu feature. We have 2 under the homepage. First one is 'How to join the site' and the Second one is 'how to use the site' which is still under contructions.
