My birthday is on my profile and my settings are current. Why is my birthday listed under upcoming birthdays so classmates can send me greetings

Did you mean "Why is my birthday not listed under upcoming birthdays so classmates can send me greetings?" Or are you upset your birthday is listed under upcoming birthdays? I see your name and birthday on the Upcoming Birthdays list with a date of 10/24.

In any event, there are only two things that control whether a birthday appears under Upcoming Birthdays. 1. The classmate has to enter his/her birthday under Member Functions > Edit Contact Info. 2. The classmate has to check the box "Allow classmates to view my birthday" under Member Functions > Edit Profile, as seen in the attached file. If you don't want your birthday to appear on the Upcoming Birthdays list, uncheck this box. The birthday is listed for 30 days prior to the birth date and then drops off.

Could be that your own birthday is not shown to you?

You are listed in order by date on the home page upcoming birthdays. It will also automatically appear on your profile and What's New page on the day of your birthday. Those who follow you who have notifications turned on will receive reminders about your upcoming birthday.

We don't email you a reminder if it is your birthday because we assume you know it is coming up

I was just working with another site where a classmate claimed that her birthday didn't show up in the Coming Birthdays box - but her twin did. She has entered her own birthday, checked the allow birthday view box in her profile, and everyone else can see both her and her twin.
Others say they can see their own birthdays, but we can't test any farther without changing the reporting classmate's password since we can't log in as her.

Thanks Jess. After more questioning, it turns out that she was worried about not seeing her name in the Notify emails listing pending birthdays. She is now aware of why.
