Without getting into lots of details, is there any way to leave an alumni's information (details, profile, photo) on the site but invisible to everyone but the administrators? I know we can print and also create pdfs of pages of the information, but having it available electronically on the database would be useful - that would also allow us to retain login and update information such as that provided in a download.

In a different vein, is there any way to prevent an activated user from receiving any messages; either a switch they can turn on/off or that the administrator can turn on/off?

You can make them a non-displaying guest under Manage Classmates > Enter/edit Classmates -- choose their details page and you'll see that option midway down.
