Are images I use as backgrounds on the site saved anywhere when I change them over? I use just one all year and change it for another at Christmas but wanted to know if there was an easy way to access one I've already used rather than upload it again.

That would be no, Mark. I have a folder on my computer specifically for backgrounds. Though it would be great to have backgrounds pulled from somewhere within our sites, grabbing one from the computer works.

WHEN I DOWLOAD A BACKGROUND IMAGE IT IS ALWAYS NAMED 3.JPG. I would assume that is done to overwrite each time so space is not used up.

yes Technically you could store a background image in your File Vault and use that. IOW, do your own thing
