Hello. Could someone explain to me the difference between the Message Forum vs. the User Forum?

In the User Forum, classmates can create a topic, add what they want about the topic, then other classmates can add comments. There can be multiple topics, which are indexed for easy access. For our class, the novelty of the User Forum wore off after about a year and no new topics were created, so we deactivated it.

I've never activated the Message Forum, so I can't say anything about it.

The Message forum is more of a bulletin board of messages that are in one running list. No order or separation of topics. That ability for topics and order is what makes the User Forums superior.

Under Admin Functions > Edit Site Pages, see if you have a page titled User Forums. If so, all you have to do is activate it by clicking on Edit Link. If you don't see the page, I think you can ask Class Creator to add it for you.

Hi Karen,

You already have the user forums. You renamed it Bulletin Board and have it inactive under your Classmate grouping under Edit Site Pages.

Hi Margie,

You have User Forums on you or site live with a general discussion being the only topic. You can Manage it under Edit Site Pages

We have an overview video for User Forums located at
