When a post is made on a members birthday it shows up twice when the profile is viewed. It also shows up twice in What’s New .
Is this something new?

Kinda new. Duplicates began showing up right after the migration was "complete". Duplicate messages and comments still happen off and on for some sites, and they're still trying to figure out how/why it happens.

Still getting dupes on comments to Birthday announcements on Whats New. I just posted a comment personally, it immediately showed as a single, but upon refresh of the page the duplicate popped up.

The good news is you only have to delete it once, either on the profile or What's New.

THE "Clean Up Script" they promised obviously is not working.

And still, no one is keeping us updated on this wide-spread, ongoing issue. Complete silence.

This issue is still a top priority and the programmers are running several tests on the fix over the next few days before we implement it across the board. In the meantime we have a script that runs each hour to clean up any duplicates that are still happening - the only time it does not clear a duplicate is if both instances have received a unique response as removing it would remove the response as well.

The underlying issue is the top priority for the programmers and they have had to rework an area that threads through many other aspects of the site so it is a bit more delicate than it sounds. We will test and monitor the fix and then apply it everywhere.
