Hi..It's Sunday morning, and I"ve just purchased a short domain name for my 5th CC site (yeah). I've received Brad's confirming letter --- My question is: I read that the new domain should be effective immediately, or maybe a slight delay. I just launched it about an hour ago, but it's not yet working. Is the delay sometimes a couple or more hours? Thanks

Assuming that all the steps have been taken, there is a slight delay as the information has to propagate to all the domain servers.
