I somehow "clicked" myself off to let people know I am online for private chat !! how do I get back on.

I just logged in as you and all of the settings are correct. It looks like you may have closed the IM window on your machine. To have this open again for you, you need to clear your cache and cookies, and close all instances of your browser. When you reopen the site, it should be available to you again.
