In September 2020, my class gathers for our 50th reunion. There is a lot happening right now, including a push to find classmates. Two of our classmates are working whenever possible to find and follow leads and that has me here to share what he sent today.

" I have a fun story to tell.
I was searching online today for one of our 'Missing' classmates, Ed Xxxx.
I thought maybe I found his father, Ed Sr., who died 1988 in McHenry. But, could not find an online obituary.
The **ONLY** Ed Jr. I could find was in St Petersburg FL, XXXXXXX Acres address northeast of downtown St. Pete, about 10 miles from my home.
But I could find no known connection of that Ed to McHenry. Hmmm.
Then I found he was 67, born in 1952. A coincidence?
But I was not able to find either a phone number nor email address.
Dang! Still, he lived too close by to NOT give it a try. What the heck.
So I drove over there, found the house, and rang the doorbell. A guy comes to the door.
"I am looking for the Ed Xxxx from McHenry Illinois. Could that be you?"
"Yes, that is me"
FOUND!!! Woo-hoo. He graciously invited me in, and we had a great chat.
We have been living within 10 miles of each other for almost 20 years and never knew it."

This is one of the best stories shared today! Of course, he took a photo of the two of them before leaving and shared it on our class Facebook page. I love this story!

One of my classmates did the same thing. Unfortunately he was met by a crotchety, old man Mad(yep, our classmate). Not everybody wants to be found. LOL
