I got a stupid email from someone that must have emailed me through the contact us link. It didn't bother me, but I want to make sure I protect my classmates. Is there some kind of setting I can change to prevent them from receiving anything or should I encourage them to change their settings to private? Thanks,

If a Profile is public, anybody can contact the Classmate. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "strange", but our system does screen for mail that is clearly spam and doesn't send it if it is. Most automated emails are filtered out. The only sure fire way to stop all non Classmate emails is to block the Profile though.

What I did was go into everyone's profile and check the box for Profile Visibility. That way you have to join to see anyone's info. Don't know why people wouldn't want this anyway. The email wasn't spam, it was just a dumb email from someone who is obviously one of our classmates that doesn't want to sign up. Identified themself as "The Worm".
