Classmate to Classmate Message Spacing

Most times I write my classmates directly from my home e-mail box but recently have been using the feature "attached" to each classmates page (profile). I'm double spacing between paragraphs, even tried triple spacing, however, when I see the message in my outbox, it is all run together. Likewise, incoming messages to my Messages box have no breaks. Is this by design? Thx.!

You are the BEST!!! FYI - I thought it might possibly be a Firefox issue so tried it on IE 8. Same results. Thx.

Similarly, tonight I was updating comments on pictures and found that Line Breaks also aren't recognized there. Are they related? No need to reply to this before there's an update on part 1. Hope you had a nice weekend. R
