I've got a big orange square on the home page that says announcement BUT I want to play my selected and embedded song when the site opens. Now I have to go to yet another screen to start the song. Can't I get rid of the big orange square and have the song start automatically when the site is opened?

The ORANGE square was the Announcement Color. It is changeable on the POST ANNOUNCEMENT page. I changed it to WHITE for you. The song starts automatically for me.
