Is there a way to limit access for a classmate. We've a classmate who often stirs up problems. We don't want to boot her off but is there a "view only" option? Meaning, she can see updates, events, people, etc., but can not comment, send messages, etc.

Here's a way to accomplish some of what you want, but not all:

1. Under Admin Functions, click on Preferences, scroll down to Classmate Verification, and click the second button, which reads, "DO NOT ALLOW new subscribing Classmates to view password protected areas of the web site, access any restricted Classmate Profiles, send or receive emails, post messages in forums..."

2. Delete the offending classmate's profile, then recreate it.

3. Do not verify the classmate when he/she attempts to rejoin the site.

This solution is a mixed bag --- you can accomplish some but not everything you want. The classmate will be able to view any pages which are not password protected, such as In Memory pages, but not be able to view the profiles of other classmates, which are password protected. Do you want that?

Others have expressed your concerns in previous posts. I don't remember what the proposed solutions were, other than giving the classmate a warning and then taking the above steps if they continue the offensive behavior.
