Class Creator allows you to embed the chat software of your choice into your site. Most people I've seen use addonchat.com. It's free with an add or too, or nominally priced if you want to turn off ads. Later this year we'll be adding an integrated chat to the system, but addonchat and others are a good temporary solution until we get to that task.
