Suspending a Classmate from Posting on the Message Forum

I have a classmate who seems to thrive on confrontation and demeaning others in the Message Forum. I have already banned a classmate for this. Is there a way to suspend a classmate's posting privileges until they agree to "play nice"? I'm thinking of suspension as an interim step before banning them.

Other than removing their email address so they can no longer log in and giving them the system password so they can still view most of the site's pages, there's not much you can do. But you might be interested in this thread...

John -- Thanks for your response. I agree with you that it would be nice to have something other than the current "all or nothing" situation. I like the "limited access" option, or having the ability to impose restrictions on members or guests as appropriate.
