I want to place floating text boxes on my home page and other pages. I will compose them in Word, but find I cannot paste them in because the Paste icon is greyed out. I also want to be able to wrap the existing text around the boxes - is this possible?

Thanks for your help

Michael

What is a "Floating Text Box"? Does it move around the screen, floating along? Not sure what that is.

Maybe what you are describing is just a center-justified table. The contents of your "floating text box" are just the one cell in a table. The CENTER justification causes text to wrap on the left and right sides of the table.

Well, I want to put text into a box that I can place wherever I want in the page (left or right) and have the main text wrap around it

You can create a one cell table and place the contents of your floating text (AKA "Call Out") inside the table. Set the justification of the table either left or right to let the body text wrap around the table.

CLICK HERE TO GET THE SOURCE CODE. Then edit the text inside the box.

That worked OK.

But now my wife tells me she wants the text box contents travelling across the screen.

For travelliing text across the screen, you might want to use the MARQUEE Html tag.

Here is a tutorial about the MARQUEE tag
