I had a problem yesterday with classmates ignoring the stated policy of not submitting political posts in the Message Forum. I had to delete two of them. Class Creators includes the first sentence of a post in a notification email even though I have deleted the post. Is it possible to not include anything from the post in the notice of a new message? Thanks!

While I understand your issue in this particular case, the benefit of that sentence being included really helps to get your members to click and contribute. Without that teaser, click throughs would drop significantly. Thanks, Scott Mastenbrook

But would it be possible to not include any links? We are ok with the first line of the discussion, but do not like it when someone posts a link to YouTube or another site within the Message Forum. Then when everyone receives the notification of a new post, they already have received a link that they may not want. Thank you.

I will discuss this with the team and decide.

The programmer reports that any hyperlinks, HTML or javascript are all stripped from any emails being sent out.
