What is the easiest way for members to upload photos that can be downloaded for a slide show?

If you use the gallery creator to create the galleries, you can set the gallery upload permissionsome to All Classmates so that they can easily contribute. Everyone can then access these galleries.

The point is to get photos that can be used in a slideshow, completely separate from this website. Your answer, while helpful, does not offer me a solution that works for the intended purpose.

You can extract images from a gallery slideshow. Make the slideshow manual first. With a mouse Hover over an image as it is displayed. Now right click and you can see the options. Choices vary a little depending on browser. Firefox and Chrome let you pick image address. This lets you reference the links directly and reference them in other scripts or save them to your system.
