The FILE VAULT and IMAGE VAULT are the same thing. The only difference is the way they are accessed and where the files are stored. The file vault is a place where files from your hard drive can be saved so that everyone on the internet (meaning your classmates) can access those files. It is a storage area similar to your hard drive but on the Internet. The files are secure because nobody can access the files unless they know the names of the files. The file vault is accessed through the INSERT/EDIT LINK button on any Content Edit page. You upload your file, then create a link to the object so that classmates can click on the link to see the document/file The image vault is accessed through the INSERT GRAPHIC/IMAGE button on the Content Edit page. All graphics are resized if they are too big (this means that if it is animated, the animation will stop when the resize happens). You then insert an image onto your website. Since the image is stored on the Internet, all classmates can see it (they don't have access to your hard drive so if the image pointed to your hard drive, they couldn't see it).
