How can we accept credit cards for reunion payments without a paypal account. Just regular credit cards.

You would still need a merchant account to handle credit card payments. Paypal is the easiest and least expensive option that I am aware of.

Some merchant accounts charge excessive monthly fees on top of the fees added to a credit card payment. There is no montly fee with Paypal, just a small percentage fee with each payment.

Correct -- you would need to sign up for your own personal Merchant Account. Many places offer them, such as Authorize.net or Card Service International.

Note: If you use PayPal for reunion payments, your Classmates can also pay with regular credit cards without having to sign up for PayPal at all.
