We have a multi-year site and want to know if we can put a class picture at the top of the Classmate Profile page for each year instead of individual pictures since we have soooo many students.

No, unfortunately there is no way to put in an all-class photo at the top of every Year page. Basically what you're dealing with there is one big names database. We'd have to insert an editor instance at the top of every Year page to make it possible to upload photos there. Although tecnically possible, it would add numerous editor boxes inside admin, not to mention a content block there could be used for a lot more than photos, which in this case would be a bad idea because it's a system page with a lot of coding going on behind the scenes there. One misstep by people on that page, such as adding bad code, incompatible third party objects, and more could easily break the page. Factoring in that's where people join the site from, that could create quite a problem.
