When I am working on editing site pages it sometimes takes me several tries to get it the way I want it to look (probably because I don't have a background in all this stuff) anyway, there is that little box at the bottom about notifying all the classmates and it is checked by default. I have learned to try to remember to uncheck that box, so they aren't getting a message everytime I revise my announcement or whatever I am working on, but it never fails that I forget and they get these notices about updates before I am finished and too often multiple times, which I know has to be annoying for them. I would like to see the default be not checked and then when we are done we can check it and send out the notification. Am I the only one that doesn't get it right the first few tries?

Default checked condition can be set on the PREFERENCES PAGE. Look for this section... CLASSMATE NOTIFICATIONS Classmates sign up to be notified when various pages of your site have been updated. You may not want these automatic notices to go out if you are making a small edit (e.g. fixing a typo). A checkbox is present under the editor window indicating how many people have subscribed to receive updates for the page you are editing. You can check or uncheck this box to send or not send these automatic notifications. The default status for this checkbox is settable below: Prechecked: Automatically send subscriber notices unless box is manually unchecked before saving Unchecked: Do not automatically send subscriber notices unless box is manually checked before saving

I, too, have the same problem..I update many times...and that dang box is checked. @Kyle..that is a pain in the rear to have to go to your preferences every time you want to update any thing on the website. I would rather it be toggled off(unchecked)...and then I would be able to do all my editing..then toggle the switch back on (check the box). So much easier and faster. Just trying to cut down on an extra step. I guess it could be put on our wish list. Any one else have this wish

Thanks, Kyle. I have changed the preference as well as changing to the enhanced save feature, which should be helpful. Just didn't realize that was there. I don't go into that area much since I originally set it up. And thanks, Darlene. So glad to know I'm not the only one that has issues like this. CC Staff- I love this site. It allows me to provide my classmates with such neat stuff and communicate it to them so efficiently. Now if they would just learn to read what it says instead of just clicking the photos. I give them instructions, codes, etc and they still email and ask how to do it. I guess I still need to simplify more, but that is just how it is with people...

Darlene, You only set the default ONE TIME, not each time. Set it and forget it!

Don't mind Darlene, Kyle. She may have been sitting at a keyboard but her thoughts were obviously in the casinos! Have a great time, Darlene!
