I'm getting ready to release our website -- can I reset the statistics so they will be real time?

Welcome Nikki, Which statistics are you talking about? Are you talking about the number of "Home Page Visitors" that is on the Statistics link? That number cannot be reset. If you want an accurate number for some reason, just subtract about 200 (currently it is 196). The other numbers on that page are always correct. Is there a different statistic you are talking about?

I was referring to the home visitors -- it's not a big deal, I just didn't want to think about math! Thanks.

It's only an approximation counter anyway. The 24 hour cookie we use is intended to give a glimpse of actual visitorship as opposed to counting every hit like many counters do. Have you set up Google Analytics under your Preferences page?

Yes I did set up the google analytics - not exactly quite sure what that does. I do like that yours does the 1 time per 24 hour count - especially helpful while I've been working on the website. Thanks.

Exactly. Without the 24 cookie what you wind up with eventaully is a number that means absolutely nothing. With the cookie you have a pretty solid understanding of the actual visitorship to your site.
