We’re having trouble accepting checks for donations from people who don’t want to use the website. We accept credit cards or checks and the people who make a donation as part of our 2025 registration have no problem.

We go into donation manager and select view transactions. We then select Add donation on behalf of an Alumnus after entering the name. We then select the amount and Continue. Then step 3 has no items displayed. If we select Continue there we get a $0.00 donation.

We’re not sure what we’re doing wrong.

In Donation Manager click Edit for the donation you would like to.appear on a donation page or home page and select the check box to include them in each area you wish to have it display. The check box options are:

Display on Donation Page: 

Display on Event Planner: 

Display on Home Page:

Your 2025 donation shows Event Planner only checked.

Jessica, I think I’m misunderstanding. As admins, we want to make a check donation on behalf of our alumni who don’t use computers or don’t feel comfortable with online donations. Making donations visible in more places wouldn’t help us, would it. Or is there increased functionality if we add a Donation Page?

Even if the donation page is in the non active status adding it there allows an admin to enter a manual payment.

I added it to your 2025 donation and also kept the donation page inactive.

You can add an admin entered manual donation payment by check now:

Go to:

Admin Functions > Donation Manager > Transactions

There is a section below all existing transactions to add a manually entered transaction starting be searching the name of the classmate who sent the check. Confirm the name by selecting it in the dropdown list and it will take you to the next step.

Make certain you enter it in the 2025 donation section. I turned off the prior years so they won't display to classmates, however, they still appear for admins in this section.
