Hello,

Starting 3-10-26 and today 2-27-26 have received 29 new bounce backs. Is there any reason for this sudden increase in bounce backs? Have had only one bounce back in two years!

3-10-26 with (1) bounce back (1) Undelivered Mail

3-17-26 with (5) bounce backs (4) In Memory &
(1) Labeled as Spam

3-18-26 with (4 bounce backs (2) In Memory & (2) Labeled as Spam

3-19-26 with (4) bounce backs (3) In Memory updates & (1) Sally profile update

Because CC fixed the email bounce back issue for you. Mine still do not work.

IOW, it wasn't working for years. Cool

So one could deduce that what was once "broken" was suddenly "fixed" on 3-17-26 ???

If this is a fix, it really creates a problem for administrators. What does one do to resolve 28 bounce backs as several were bounced back as Spam?

It was fixed around your time frame and rolled out in parts. Hence yours got fixed on 3-10-26 +.

For the spam, first step for is for every one of your recipients to whitelist your emails.

Overview of WHITELISTING emails.

Second step: However, if the receiving email provider immediately bounced your emails as spam, I think you (CC) may need to contact their email provider directly since the user never even got it in their spam folder.

I've never had to do that, hopefully CC can do this for you.

Jack, thanks for the info!

The first bounce back person on 3-10-26 contacted me and said he is unable to log on to our website. I checked his info and his email address is the same in his "Details"(no Changes).

I checked "Email the Class" and found his name was greyed out showing(BOUNCED) in capital letters.

Are individuals with a bounced email "restricted or blocked" from logging onto our website?

Bounced email is not connected to not being able to login.

Heck, you can have a fake email and create an account (that's how it was the last time I checked).

So I suspect he is using the wrong password OR a cookie setting. Not unusual for people to forget/mistype their PW.

You can Manually change the password for them, send them the password and tell them to change it to whatever they want.

I am on the bounce back list and so are 17 more as of now. I can not verify my identity from an email address as this is the only place I use it. Reset my password and that is nit working. I need to get an email out telling everyone of the issue. Is their some way that the Class Creatot team can fix our site?

Karen, how did you post here if you don't know your password? I think the cookie for this CC help section is active, hence you did not have to log in again. So should be easy to find your password.

IOW, the Password here is the same as the one for your class.

You can look at your Browser Password list to see what the Password is for any site. So check there. You type in the link name and it will show you the login name and password.

Hi Everyone. Your lists are small compared to the alumni site I have: 172 bouncebacks.

Most are clear by reading the last line. I walked someone through this last week.

- Remote Server returned: '554 30 Sorry, your message to xxxxxxxxxxxx@yahoo.com cannot be delivered. This mailbox is disabled (554.30).'

- Remote Server returned: '550 5.1.1 Not our Customer'

and so on.
Many have Gmail and no idea there is a storage limit. That is a reason for another bounce-back.

Some used their work email and lost it when they retired or changed jobs.

I am searching for volunteers to help with other aspects of the alumni website, and will add this, or divide it among class years. I'll start with a post on Facebook, which may thin the list a bit. It is one step at a time and will be done.

Thanks for the important info, Jack.

Well, I can't beat the 28 rejections in 10 days, but here's what I've got.

Subject: Unusual Increase in Bounce Backs and Repeated Email Verifications

Message:
Our site has typically seen only one or two bounced emails at a time. Recently, however, there was a sudden spike — 24 bounce backs in about a month, with 18 in just four days. At first this seemed like normal causes (inactive accounts, health issues, deceased classmates), and many were.

Then my own email address appeared on the bounced list. I had made no changes to my email settings; my mailbox was not full (under 20% capacity) and appeared to be working properly, yet it bounced a total of four times, roughly 4–7 days apart. Several classmates also reported bounces even though their mailboxes were not close to full.

This pattern suggests something beyond user behavior or mailbox capacity — more consistent with an upstream block, filtering, or reputation issue.

Clicking “View” showed a mix of normal recipient-side bounces (disabled mailboxes, invalid recipients, full mailboxes). The one systemic issue appearing on several accounts is:

450 4.7.1 Trend Micro ERS-QIL ? our sending IP 185.235.225.152 is flagged for poor reputation.

Additionally, my own mailbox has bounced incoming mail despite being under 20% full, which points to an upstream filtering or reputation problem affecting valid mail. I failed to capture the exact reason before clearing the problem, but the repeated pattern strongly suggests a reputation-based block.

Please review this with Trend Micro to clear the IP reputation problem.

The bounce pattern strongly suggests that the issue is not with individual recipient mailboxes but with the sending IP itself. The IP 185.235.225.152 appears to be part of ClassCreator’s outbound mail pool, and Trend Micro’s ERS?QIL reputation system is flagging it. When an IP is listed in ERS?QIL, receiving servers may temporarily defer or reject mail even when the recipient mailbox is valid and not full.

To resolve this, ClassCreator’s mail administrator will need to submit a reputation review request directly to Trend Micro’s Email Reputation Services for the affected IP. Trend Micro typically clears false positives or stale listings once the owner of the IP requests reevaluation. This is not something end?users can fix from the domain side; it requires action from the sending provider.

If ClassCreator uses multiple outbound IPs, it may be worth checking whether any others in the pool are also listed. A single IP with poor reputation can cause intermittent bounces depending on which server handles a given message.

Sincerely

Gary Scott

EDIT 8-11-26 In addition, Microsoft’s Exchange Online servers are also rejecting some ClassCreator emails, possibly due to sender reputation or authentication/policy restrictions.

Hi Gary,

We have IP monitoring and received a notice that week which was very quickly resolved. Unfortunately many other systems pick up the entry and can take longer to remove it so it may have taken a few days to clear up in those other systems. Can you email me the full bounce including the email address it was sent to to info@classcreator.com so I can double check a few things. I verified we are not on any active lists.
