Help! Our class has chosen to participate in the Hometown Hero’s Program and a have the file containing the submission documents. I need to upload that file and create a page with a link to those documents. Goal is to have applicants print out documents for submission to appropriate organization.

Hi Gary, We have added a quick video that covers this topic. Edit Site Pages Linking to Documents: https://www.classcreator.com/templates/h...utube_id=-itpXnL2bnQ Locate any page that has an Editor Window, such as by going to Edit Site Pages > Edit Page for Homepage. 1. What I typically do first is decide on where my link will be and what my link phrase will say. Type the link phrase into the editor window and use your cursor to highlight the phrase. 2. On the Editor Window, look for the Insert Link button (2nd row, 3rd from right). Click the Insert Link button and the Link window will appear. Click the Browse / Choose File button and locate your file on your computer. Once selected, press the Open / Select button and then you will need to click the Upload button to the right. The window should close, leaving your link phrase blue and underlined. This means that it is linked, however to test the link you must save the page and go to the actual page of the site to click the link. Jessica

Step 1 - upload your document into your file vault. This is a sample file. Replace with YOUR file vault data. Get the link from the Editor by clicking the "chain" icon on the second line, third from the right. This is the code to put on the page using Editor Source mode. Replace the href= with YOUR file location. Change the wording on the button to what you want. Let me see if this works or I might break this post again. Yup, works here. If you click that it will download to your system.
