Receipt Sent in Event Planner

It would be helpful to have the “Email Sent” stay on the classmate’s transaction record in Event Planner Transactions - right now it only stays on for a few seconds and goes away.

It comes up in the same general area of the button that was just pressed - it is just a quick confirmation so it is clear the button generated the action. It isn't intended to stay there long.

Does the website automatically send a receipt when classmate registers?
Or is the only way to send a receipt for an admin to push the "Send Receipt" button?
Is there place where an admin can see whether or not a receipt has been sent?

A receipt is automatically sent.

The option to send it again is on the transaction page.

A couple thoughts about Event Planner, Transactions

It's mentioned that an email is sent automatically. At what point does that happen? Is it when the payments are Saved on the "Edit" page?

I would like to second the suggestion to have some notation that an email confirmation was sent somewhere in the transaction. That might avoid sending duplicates.

From the "Food-for-Thought" dept.
In Event Planner, Transactions, the "Send Receipt to ..." option is on the "View" transaction page ... so after updating payments in the "Edit" Transaction page, we have to go to the "View" page to send a receipt. Since payment updates are on the "Edit" transaction page, it seems like the "Edit" page might be the place to have the option to "Send Receipt ..."

Doing this every 5 years - which means my mind is at least 5 years older - requires, what seems to be, additional effort each time. Oh, well. At least we're still able to have events. Thank you, CC, for being there.

The registration receipt is sent when they register - if payment is due it includes details on where to send payment.

The button to send the receipt needs to interact the page and briefly update with the sent message. This could impact unsaved changes on a page with edits so the send option is on the view transaction page instead.

Clarify please these two questions:

1. If the event planner registration is for free items and no money changes hands, is the receipt automatically sent?

2. What is the email sender name on the email sent?

Yes even free items send a receipt.
