Hi there. While finally taking time to learn how to use gallery creator, I uploaded 57 of my reunion photos and they are DISPLAYING SIDEWAYS. They were NOT sideways on my, nor were they sideways after I transferred them to my laptop! Help! Do I need to delete them all and start over. And how can I keep this from happening again. Thanks, Carol Leamon

There is information in a photo that gives the orientation of the camera. This information is read by your laptop. So if an image is taken sideways with a camera, the software corrects the display to match your screen layout. This data is called EXIF data (metadata). CC does not read this data, so it does not correct the orientation. As I recall, all you need to so is view the image and SAVE it on your laptop and it fixes that data. This LINK shows you this data in your images. It also fixes this if you want to download it again.

That is great information. However, those photos were straight up and down on my phone and when I transferred them to my laptop they had the same orientation. So, that shouldn't have been the problem. I took most of them myself and know that I took them with the phone vertical instead of horizontal. So, I am still at a loss. Thanks.

So, I used the link you shared and the orientation is straight up and down. But they are still sideways on CC.

did you remove the EXIF data and RELOAD from that site? Can you post the link here so I can see what you are seeing. Just the LINK to your file vault image so nothing is changed. That's the quickest way for me to examine and fix it.

In gallery creator, open the gallery in the gallery link, find your gallery, click the icon that looks like a mountain (to me). That opens with all the images you have in that gallery. Pick the image that is incorrect and hover over image. Post that link here using CODE option of this editor (top, 3rd from the right). Maybe you can just post it directly? I'll test This is code for a gallery image I have this is raw link - looks like that works This is a LINK to that image using same data.
