RE: Confusion RE: PayPal option

Becky,

You can activate the DONATION MODULE on your home page. To do so, go to Edit Site Pages, Edit Home Page, then click on MANAGE DONATIONS, then fill out your PayPal information. Then after saving the paypal stuff, then remember to activate the module so your classmates can see it.

In order for us to activate your PayPal option for the Reunion Planner, you first need to save a reunion so that there is something that can be modified.

RE: Confusion RE: PayPal option

I'm sort of confused on putting a PayPal link on my page. My class is trying to do things as economical as possible and having this on our own instead of having extra fees through Class Creator is the best. When I follow the steps that you have provided Kyle, shouldn't I be able to paste a code from PayPal in the editing box where classmates can click and proceed with payment. Also, that will provide a new page choice too for classmates, correct? I have also seen where Class Creator needs to activate a PayPal option.

Thank you! I'm the one in charge for my class on the website. It is nice to have this option on building a website. I'm just a little confused on getting the PayPal button feature on our website.

RE: Setup to Receive Payments for Reunion

"Check" and "ECheck" are how you will receive the money that classmates pay for your reunion WITH CREDIT CARD through the ClassCreator system. If they pay by check, they will mail it to your or your committee.

"Check" means that every two weeks, ClassCreator will send the entire balance by check to you and you would deposit it into your reunion account at your local bank.

"ECheck" means Direct Deposit into your local bank account. You are allowed two direct deposits per month (you need to initiate them on the Reunion Planner/ FUNDS page after you have completely set up the Direct Deposit system)

Is it suggested to set up a separate checking account just for the reunion? I would think we'll want to receive checks along with credit card payments. What is the difference between check and echeck? Thanks for your help!

RE: How do you keep up interest in your site?

I have been active on the ClassCreator website for close to 3 years. We had a very successful 50th reunion in August and you can view it on our website Home Page, Spring Valley High School, New York.
The number one interest is photos of classmates and their families.
The number two interest is reading classmate profiles.
We had a huge response a few years ago when we started the game of tag.
We posted many photos from high school & student events from that period.
We did polls, surveys and monthly newsletters.
I would recommend monthly newsletters to inform everyone about the planning of the reunion and keeping them current on finding classmates.
I changed the Home Page every month.
If anyone wants to view the website, please contact me as we will end it in May.<!-- ua:Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.2; .NET4.0C) -->
