What have some of you done to create a continued interest for your site? Just wondering what type of info I could post periodically to keep up interest in the site and keep classmates logging in to see what's going on. We just completed our 55th Reunion, which had many people checking in regularly to see what's up. Just looking for a few suggestions. Thanks.

Take a look at the posts at this link: http://forums.classcreator.com/messages.cfm?threadid=A11484CD-945B-45F0-DCC20CF9A255FC46. It's designated by Class Creator as a "sticky" forum topic, meaning it will always be near the top of the General Discussion forum.

Interestingly, here is the same forum topic, but with different entries: http://forums.classcreator.com/messages.cfm?messageid=03E60FBF-1422-725F-3CF6C865399532D6#03E60FBF-1422-725F-3CF6C865399532D6

Hi Scott,

I take it your BBCode is disappearing as it is for me when I begin posting. I noticed as I was about to ask why you did not make a link. Oops. Wink

So here are your suggested links:

Gwen, please pardon my not using the link feature. Just this moment, I learned how to use it: click on the link symbol then insert the URL. I'll use the link feature in the future! Very Happy

We, too, found interest in our site waning after our 60th reunion so I started putting up items that have nothing to do with our class such as this link:

http://www.trojans1954.com/000/5/7/2/23275/userfiles/file/2017-02-04-VIDEO-00000001(1).mp4

I then moved the Message Forum tab to the top and asked classmates to comment. Now, they are asking for more of the same and our website is no longer considered an In Memoriam site. I also have classmates wanting to add their friends as "guests" so they can see what I have added.

An interesting podcast:
"Are Social Media Posts Ruining High School Reunions"
June 23, 2017
NPR: "Here & Now"
While high school reunion attendance has already taken a hit in the age of social media and digital communication, there's now a new wrinkle: toxic posts, arguments and insults around politics are convincing many that they should avoid gatherings with their former classmates.

Here & Now's Robin Young talks with listener Tom Gerding, who's experienced the phenomenon firsthand.

This segment aired on June 23, 2017.
