As a guest, I'm unable to edit my profile here:
http://screencast.com/t/PUk6NcXh **

As a guest, I am able to edit my profile here:
http://screencast.com/t/iFCNWZ8a

Admin rights on both sites. Not the Root Admin on either.

** for this site at their request, I prepared and sent out an "email the class." The link I captured and pasted into the email for "Edit Profile" while I was logged in is giving recipients of the email the same "Unable to edit profile" message.

In my previous experiences with another site, the links to "Edit Profile" and "Edit Contact Info" emailed to members brings up their own profile and contact pages to edit, not mine when they click on the links.

Very interesting issue. I'll have to forward this on to a programmer.

John,

On the first site, your guest account is toggled to "Show On Class List: NO", whereas the second site your account is "Show as Guest Member". Since your account on the first site can't display, there's no point in allowing him to edit it. thus, the message.

Toggle the Show On Class List setting to change this.

Scott - both those accounts have the radio button "Show As Guest Member" selected. I'm listed at the bottom of the lists of members on both those accounts.

Mark Twain Setting

Forster Band Reunion Setting

Did you change one of those?

I logged in as the Root Admin for the Forster Band Reunion and saw the message that you screeen capped above. His profile is set to NOT show on the Classmate Profiles page. I logged in as you on that site and I would have been able to edit the profile. It absolutely has to do with that setting. I have not changed any settings.
