Our class site has a message forum that classmates can post any topic they would like. We would like to keep the most recent posts(newest) at the top but it puts them at the bottom periodically. Is there a way to permanently keep the most recent posts at the top?

A request for a Preferences option to set the default - has been around for years. Unfortunately, Class Creator is currently not accepting any requests for Message Forum changes. They claim that the What's New page replaces it, and the Message Forum (and User Forums) are not supplied for new sites (unless they request it). Most of us who have been using the Message Forum as a community bulletin board don't agree, and feel they are very different pages with very different views and purposes, but... "No Changes" is the official position.

I've put a highlighted comment in our Message Forum's 'welcome' box at the top reminding users that there's an option (below and on the right) to set the sequence to "Newest at the Top".
