Where is this box supposed to be located? I have looked everywhere on the Classmate's Profile link and do not see a box to check.

That checkbox will not be present until you turn on the New Classmate Verification feature. Click your Preferences link, look in the box titled "NEW CLASSMATE ACCESS RIGHTS", and then select the second radio button in that box instead of the first.
