Sigh, I'm sorry to ask what must be one of the most commonly asked questions, but I just cannot "get it".

I have a page name "First Time Visitors" - it is Inactive.

I want to create a Link to it on Home Page.

I know how to edit Home Page and click on edit/insert link and paste in the URL of the "First Time visitors"

But then the Home Page shows an ugly http:// www. URL.

How can I get this to look like an icon to click on?

First let's start with creating a text link that's not a big long ugly web address:

1) View the page you ultimately want to link to live in your browser
2) Select the entire web address in your address bar and copy it to your clipboard
3) Now go to the page you want to put the link on, such as your home page.
4) Type something like "First time visitors click here" or whatever you desire.
5) Highlight with your mouse the text you wish to be clickable and then press the chain link icon.
6) Press control-v to paste in your link

That's it, you've now created a much friendlier link using whatever text you want.

The process is similar if you want a graphic to be the link:

1) View the page you ultimately want to link to live in your browser
2) Select the entire web address in your address bar and copy it to your clipboard
3) Now go to the page you want to put the link on, such as your home page.
4) Click the yellow "image icon" to upload your [soon to be clickable] graphic to your page.
5) Now click on your graphic and then click the chain link icon.
6) Press control-v to paste in the link to your first time visitors info.

That's all there is to it, in this way you can choose to create friendly links worded however you wish, or insert any icons or images you wish to be clickable.
