Hi,

Does anyone know how to create pages where classmates can upload Word, Excel and pdf documents? We are using the photo upload pages, but we want people to be able to upload things other than photos, as well (such as recipes). Any ideas?

Hi, Susan.

At the moment the two best ways would be

1) For them to scan and save their recipes etc and upload into the Galleries as if they were photos. They might lack a little definition but others can Save or Print them after right clicking on one.

2) Use the User Forums for the purpose - creating one called Recipes and calling others something related to whatever you want people to be able to upload into them.

At least with these you still have ultimate editing powers if something you don't approve of gets entered.

Thanks, Mark. I will try the User Forum idea. Some of my classmates are not very techie, so the scan & upload might scare them away.

I had them send me recipes in Word. Then I cut and paste them into a Gallery page making sure to use the Word icon at the top of the Editor page
