It just seems awkward to refer to deceased faculty as Guests on the In Memory page. We would like to be able to list them as Faculty, as we don't post guest deceased's anyway. Shouldn't this be the case for other sites as well?

Classmates are listed under the Clasmates heading, Teachers are listed under the Teachers heading, Guests are listed under the Guests heading. Is a teacher being listed under Guests? If so what is the name of the teacher? If you've added faculty as a Guest, then the system would correctly be listing the faculty member under the Guest heading. Our system has no way of knowing who your Guests are. If this is the case, you should re-enter the deceased individual under the Teacher's area, and change the name of the link from Teacher Profiles to Faculty Profiles.

Don't have a separate Teachers section available! Am I missing something here...?

Brad's comments are meant for MULTI-YEAR sites. If you are a single-year site, then there is no place to enter TEACHERS except as guests.

Have you tried to name the deceased teacher as "John Doe (Chemistry Teacher)"

Good point Kyle, Teachers are multi year only.

Thanks for the quick reply, Kyle.

My original supposition still stands: our site does not and will never post guest deceased's, but we do have need to let our classmates know about deceased faculty. If we have to post them as guests, that gives a very awkward twist to our In Memory page, and takes away from our classmates' experience of their website.

Thanks for your consideration!

Kyle is "Right-On"!

We have listed our deceased teachers under "Classmate Profiles" in the form "John Doe (Teacher)" and have included the teacher's yearbook photo. When we learn of the death of a teacher, we then we go to the "Edit Site Pages" and the "In Memory" section. We use the "Select Below" box to select the teacher's name and "Add Deceased Classmate" to put the teacher's profile into "In Memory". Then we Paste the teacher's obituary with picture using the "Edit" feature to the left of the teacher's name.

We have tried different methods but find this to be a very simple way to identify deceased teachers.
