I participated in the Beta portion of Class Connection but once it went live I decided not to allow access to my site via FB. Last evening I got the e-mail that is shown in the attachment. Why did I get this? Did others in my class get it? I certainly hope not as it would only confuse them as they don't even know about Class Connection.

If they have not connected their account to Class Connection, then no, they would not receive this notification.

Scott is this possible? Just a thought for Debbie on an answer possibility... could it somehow have been suggested to her class member while he/she was using Facebook and they connected to Class Connection / Class Creator FROM Facebook?
Thanks! Marla

I did the same FC.

Could another admin. have joined CC [Class Connection] for his class, or can only the Root Admin. 'enroll' a class?

What if a person is on CC at another class site [as with Debbie's situation], could this be the reason for the messages?

While I can look at specific examples, it's important to understand that Class Connection is a public Facebook app. Anyone can install it, i.e., any classmate can join Class Connection. If you're not sharing your site with the app, then when they get there all they're going to find is a message directing them to your private web site. No data from your site whatsoever is shared unless you share it. But again, that won't stop anybody from installing the app.

If somebody does install the app, even though none of your class data will be there, that person can still use the app for other purposes, such as visiting other classes on the app. Or visiting different schools entirely. Class Connection offers much more open communication across classes than the private web site does (unless you allow Class Connection and then choose to turn off the visitation ability -- it's on by default unless the Admin elects to turn it off).
