I have midi files embedded on the "From Long Ago" and the "In Memory" pages. They play fine when using the legacy designs but not in the Responsive Design or in this case the not so responsive design.

What showed for you in the "legacy" version?

You can convert it to MP3 and conform to currently supported music format (use html5 player code) and not require the user to have quicktime plugin.

Nothing showed for me. I embedded them to automatically play when the page was opened. The code for the "From Long Ago" page is below.

When I recently switched from IE to Firefox I did have to install the Quicktime plugin in order to hear it but Quicktime was not needed for IE.

I've not found a way to convert midi to mp3.

There are programs to convert to mp3 if you want to make it available to a wider audience. I need to listen to the one I made to see if it sounds more or less the same.

Meanwhile, here's a workaround to get around that odd behavior.

First you make this page and store it in your file vault

Next put this code on your page replacing the current embed code (replace src with YOUR file vault html data

CC editor will probably put < p > < /p> around it so it adds a bit of space

Here's LINK to file converted to MP3 -- pretty close

You can use the exact same iframe just replace with the mp3, so that way the player still doesn't show up. No need for quicktime and should play on all devices.

P.S. Put cursor on player, right click and "Save As" to get a copy.
