Are you talking about senior photos, profile photos, or photos on your regular site pages? I'm going to gues you're asking about adding photos to your regular site pages, in which case please try following the steps in our FAQs here:

Same here..I am haveing the problem with a family site I have started and am ttying to load some of the same pictures I loaded to the class webstie so I am really confused...

Where are you loading them? What page? Have you resized your photos down to 1,000 pixels wide before uploading? What format is the photo in? If not JPG, try saving as JPG before uploading. Uncompressed photo formats (bmp, tif, png for instance) can be huge in file size and can be a problem uploading. If you need a good free image resizing tool grab one at http://www.irfanview.com.
